Terms of Use
App: RecFolder: Screen Recorder (Japanese: RecFolder｜画面録画＆フォルダ整理; the “App”)
Developer: FGEM App (the “Developer”)
Effective date: September 28, 2026
These Terms set out the conditions for using the App. By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms are a translation of the Japanese version. If there is any difference between the two, the Japanese version prevails.
1. Use of the App
- The App is free to use. The App displays ads.
- You are responsible for the device and network connection needed to use the App.
2. Your recordings
- Recordings are saved on your device and are never sent to the Developer’s servers. You are responsible for storing, managing and backing up your recordings.
- You are responsible for how you use your recordings, including sharing and publishing them.
3. Prohibited conduct
When using the App, you must not:
- Violate any law or public order and morals
- Infringe the copyright, portrait rights, privacy or other rights of others (for example, recording, publishing or distributing other people’s copyrighted works without permission, or recording or publishing other people’s personal information or conversations without their consent)
- Attempt to bypass restrictions on content that cannot be recorded (such as DRM-protected videos)
- Modify, reverse engineer, decompile or redistribute the App (except where permitted by law)
- Interfere with ad delivery, such as by clicking ads fraudulently
- Engage in any other conduct the Developer deems inappropriate
4. Content that cannot be recorded
Copyright-protected content and apps or videos that restrict screen or audio capture may be recorded as a black screen or without sound. The App does not bypass these restrictions.
5. Disclaimer
- The Developer does not guarantee that the App will work correctly on every device or that it will be fit for any particular purpose.
- Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by the Developer, the Developer is not liable for any damage arising from your use of the App, including failed recordings, loss or corruption of recordings, or device malfunctions.
- The Developer is not liable for any dispute between you and a third party arising from your use of your recordings.
- The Developer is not responsible for the content of ads shown in the App or for the services they link to.
6. Changes to and discontinuation of the App
The Developer may change the App or stop providing it without prior notice.
7. Intellectual property
Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the App belong to the Developer or to third parties holding the rights. Using the App does not transfer the rights to your recordings to the Developer.
8. Privacy
Your information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these Terms
The Developer may change these Terms when necessary. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page. If you continue to use the App after a change, you agree to the updated Terms.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court having jurisdiction over the Developer’s location as the court of first instance.
